(AP Photo/Will Lester) By Elton Alexander, The Plain Dealer CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Martin Truex Jr. will be on the pole for Sunday's NASCAR 2018 STP 500 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway after Saturday's qualifying was called off for bad weather. Truex is the defending Monster Cup series champion and was awarded the pole based on owners standings. He's coming off a win last week and is making his third straight trip from the pole. His win last week ended Kevin Harvick's string of race wins at three. Kyle Busch will start No. 2 and Harvick is No. 8. Today's race is scheduled for 2 p.m. on FS1. Live streaming is available on FOX Sports Go .
